David Monette is a science fiction and fantasy illustrator who, over the past few years, has done numerous paintings for the role-playing, gaming/hobby industry. He has worked on such collectible card games as Wizards of the Coasts' Magic The Gathering: Mercadian Masques, Legend of the Five Rings, Legend of the Burning Sands, and Dune. As well as Precedence Publishing's The Wheel of Time and ICEs' Middle Earth series. His work has also appeared in role-playing guides, magazines, and book covers for such publishers as Fantastic Stories, GURPS Traveller: Far Trader and Traveller: Star Mercs, Ars Magicas' Ordo Nobilis, Heirs to Merlin, Triamore: The Covenant at Lucien's Folly, and The Mysteries, and Cahill Publishing's Pacific Vortex.
